Hello, I’m the new intern !

Hello, My Name is Dorian, I am the new Student Services intern of EC London. I’m 20 years old and I’m French ?. I was born in the real countryside of France in the south west. During my childhood, as every boy I loved playing video games and watching dragon ball (and I still love it ahahaha) I got a scientific secondary school diploma and then I entered in a business school in Bordeaux (famous French city for the wine in the south west). I am currently studying international business. I would like to get an MBA to become an export manager or another job related with international business in order to not live in France. I am interning in EC school because I want to improve my level of English., I’m also meeting a lot of people from all around the world (Chinese, Brazilian, Saudi Arabian, Russian etc…) which is very important for me to know the different mindsets of people to work abroad. I have been learning English since I’m 12 years old, and last year I got 6.5 at the International English testing system (IELTS) which has allowed me to continue my studies abroad. Next September I’m going to study in the international business school of Dublin and I will continue my life in Dublin instead of France. I am very excited about it especially that my life will be completely in English. I love travelling to discover something different, I especially love countries from the east of Europe (Scandinavian and Slavic countries), for example I have been in Norway… I’m also currently learning Russian for one year. Indeed, my business school is asking us to learn two languages in addition to French and as I mentioned before I like Slavic cultures that’s why I chose Russian. … Read more

My first experience in London

Hello, my name is Alice, I am 22 years old. I am studying my fourth year at the Burgundy School of Business in Dijon, a small town in France. My main fields are Management, Finance and Marketing. Currently in a gap year, I have been in London for two months. At the beginning I worked in a charity shop to improve my English and to have a new professional experience. Then I started an internship at EC English School London and I am here until the end of August. I am assisting the accommodation coordinator. Indeed, students can take their accommodation with EC London, we have many residences and house families to propose you. I have got the great opportunity to do my internship in this company because I think it’s the best place to work and to study. All the people are very welcoming. Our New Academic Intern Michela

Hi everyone, My name is Michela, I’m 19 and I come from Cuneo, a small town in the north of Italy. I graduated last July: I studied languages such as French, Spanish and English at the High School in Cuneo, where I live. The last year of High School, as you probably know, is a year of big changes: everyone is thinking about what to do the following year, you have to make a lot of decisions. I was uncertain about what to do next, so I decided to take a gap year. That was surely the best decision I made so far! What am I doing here and for how long I’m going to stay here? I’m the new Academic Intern, and I’m going to stay here until the end of December. I’m here at EC London since the 6th of October and I’m really enjoying my experience. One of the best way to study English in London is to do an internship, isn’t it? EC offers great opportunities to meet people from all over the world, to know their cultures and, of course to learn new interesting things during the challenging classes. The thing that I like the most about EC school is that you can easily talk with lots of people of your age, as everyone come here with the same purpose: learning English and make some new friends. I have been asked what my hobbies are: first of all, I really enjoy travelling (that it’s one of the reason that brought me here), then I love everything that concerns with arts, for example reading, listening to music, visiting museums, watching lots of movies and tv series. I also quite enjoy having long walks with my headphones on. The main goal that I would like to achieve … Read more

Takato had a wonderful experience at EC London!

Takato is an EC LONDON student from Japan. He wanted to take English Courses in London. It was a pleasure to meet him. He left his beautiful feedback to us to share: Why did you choose to study with EC? I chose here randomly and followed my instinct What do you like about London? What do you like about the school? People are tolerant. I like the combination of historical places and urban city. I like the atmosphere in the school and also teachers and staff. What will be your most unforgattable memory of EC? It must be meeting lots of great people. I spent unforgattable time with my friends. And, amazing teachers, they were always helpful and encourage me. Would you recommended EC to a friend? Why? Absolutely Yes! I assure than you can improve your English. Where is your favorite place to hang out in the evenings? What is the best thing to do on Sunday afternoon? I’d say wandering around in London is always good. My favorite is Tower Bridge in the evening. St James’ Park is the best place to chill out.   We are grateful for the positive feedback that Takato gave to us and feel glad that he had a great time here :).

A NEW YEAR, A NEW IPHONE ?!?!

A new smartphone makes the difference! Or not ? I recently bought an iPhone 7, which is a controversial gadget nowadays. You might expect a gripping or breath taking statement, unfortunately this is not the case. To be honest, I hoped for a refreshing design or at least a spectacular innovation but when I was holding the new iPhone in my hands I was bitterly disappointed.   I never expect it but the negative critics seem to be coming true. I was baffled, the iPhone 7 didn’t follow the promised fundamentally new design. Apple just simply improved the basics of the iPhone 6 and changed the name to iPhone 7. The iPhone 7 doesn’t represent a revolution and I would go even one step further and say that the iPhone 7 is just an average joe smartphone.     I recommend if you get the chance open up your mind for other smartphones. If you would like to compare the phones, here is a link: iPhone 7 vs. iPhone 6   Here you will find more information if you want to Learn English in London.
